Can I carry baby food on a Smartavia flight?

In brief

Yes, you can. Baby food is allowed in hand luggage in the amount needed for the duration of the flight.

How much you can bring

Exactly as much as your child will need during the flight. There is no upper limit on the quantity — the main thing is that the amount is reasonable and matches the length of the flight.

Baby food may be carried in addition to the hand luggage allowance.

What you can bring

  • infant formula and ready-to-use bottles;
  • jars of puree;
  • juice and water for your child;
  • biscuits, snacks and other foods for a light meal.

What you need at security screening

Liquid baby food — formula, puree, juice, water — must be presented separately from other liquids. Security staff may ask you to open the packaging or taste the contents.

The 100 ml per container limit does not apply to baby food.

Important
Bring extra food — in case of a flight delay or waiting time. This is especially important if your child is on mixed or formula feeding.
