Do I need to print out my boarding pass after online check-in?
Printing your boarding pass is not mandatory, but we recommend doing so. Some airports accept a boarding pass with a QR code, however we cannot guarantee that self-service printing kiosks will be operational at the airport.
Option 1. Print it yourself
If you have checked in online on our website, you can print a paper version of your boarding pass. To do this, send it to your email and print it.
Recommendation: we advise you to print your boarding pass in advance, as we cannot guarantee that self-service printing kiosks will be available at airports.
Option 2. Use a PDF boarding pass or QR code
You can save your boarding pass to your device as a PDF file. Important: save the actual file to your device.

Option 3. Check in and get your boarding pass at the airport
If you could not check in online or print your boarding pass, or if you need to drop off baggage, you can check in at the airport. Check-in opens 2–3 hours before departure and closes 40 minutes before departure. Please proceed to the Smartavia check-in desks.
Important to remember
- Printing your boarding pass is not required, but we recommend it for reliability.
- A boarding pass with a QR code is not accepted at all airports — check in advance.
- If you are checking baggage, airport check-in will still be required (even if you checked in online).
