Can I check in online with Smartavia without selecting a seat?
Answer: It is not possible to check in online without selecting a seat. To complete online check‑in, you must choose a seat on board — this is a paid service. If you do not want to choose a seat, check in at the airport — a seat will be assigned automatically.
Online check‑in is available from 24 hours before departure and closes 3 hours before departure. After that, you can only check in at the airport.
Online check‑in is an optional service. You are not required to use it.
🪑 If you do not care about your seat
You can check in at the airport check‑in desk. It opens 2–3 hours before departure and closes 40 minutes before departure. At the airport, a seat will be assigned automatically.
- Online check‑in requires a seat selection (chargeable).
- After online check‑in closes, only airport check‑in remains available.

— Can I get a seat for free when checking in at the airport?
Yes, when you check in at the airport desk, a seat is assigned automatically and it is free of charge. You may also change your seat for an additional fee if you wish.
— If I select a seat online but change my mind, can I cancel the selection and check in for free at the airport?
If you have already paid for the seat selection, you can cancel it and request a refund only if you do so no later than 24 hours before departure.
— If I select a seat online but later want to change it to another seat, how can I do that?
You can refund the amount paid for the seat selection no later than 24 hours before departure. After that, you can choose a new seat in the “Additional services” section or during online check‑in.
