Ski/Snowboard equipment
1 set (up to 23 kg) includes skis, poles, boots, helmet, or snowboard, boots, and helmet.
Equipment must be packed in one combined bag or two separate bags.
Smartavia staff may inspect the contents if there are doubts that only sports equipment is inside. Please do not pack additional items in the equipment bags.
Allowed Weight and Dimensions
- 1 set should not exceed 23 kg
- This equipment does not count toward the baggage included in your fare, meaning you can also check a suitcase or bag that meets your fare’s weight and size limits.
- Dimentions are not measured.
Cost
- Free with tariffs that include luggage.
- For “Smart Light” tariff, always paid.
Bicycle
Must be checked in as baggage under the following conditions:
- packed in a cardboard box or wrapped in protective film to prevent front-wheel fork movement;
- handlebars secured in place;
- pedals removed;
- prepared to take up no more than two items, such as the frame and separately packed wheels.
Allowed weight and dimensions
- The bicycle counts toward the fare’s baggage allowance, meaning only the bicycle can be checked for free. Other baggage requires additional payment.
- Dimensions are measured: equipment must not exceed the weight and size of the fare’s baggage limit.

- Free with tariffs that include luggage.
- Always paid with “Smart Light” tariff.
Hockey equipment
Must be checked in as baggage if:
- packed in bags;
- occupies no more than two items, such as a bag with equipment and a separate bag for sticks or skates.
Allowed weight and dimensions
- 1 set up to 23 kg.
- Equipment counts toward the baggage allowance in the fare, meaning only hockey equipment can be checked for free; additional baggage requires extra payment.
- Dimensions are measured: equipment must fit the fare’s baggage limit.

Fishing rods, reels, and other fishing equipment

Other sports equipment
Examples include adult scooters, golf equipment, helmets, sports and motorcycle helmets, etc.

If the total weight and/or dimensions of all checked bags exceed what is included in your fare, the excess must be paid for. The cost is available in the «Additional luggage» section.
If your sports equipment or other items listed above exceed the weight and/or size allowance, you will also need to pay for the excess. Pricing can be found in the «Additional luggage» section.
To transport items with greater weight and size in checked luggage, prior approval from Smartavia is required, as this may not always be possible. Please contact us through the feedback form on our website, social media, or our call center.
In some cases, Smartavia may make exceptions to the free luggage allowance or luggage /carry-on size restrictions. These exceptions may apply to specific flights, routes, fares, or specific passenger categories.
