Rules for transporting fragile luggage
If you want to transport dishware sets, porcelain or ceramic items, televisions, monitors, and other fragile products, you need to coordinate this with a Smartavia representative at the airport check-in desk. Smartavia is not responsible for the integrity of such luggage, even if we have agreed to accept it for transport.
Transporting musical instruments
Musical instruments can be transported in 3 ways:
- In a passenger seat in the cabin — this type of transport can only be arranged at the time of ticket purchase. Call the call center to book a ticket for yourself and your musical instrument, or contact ticket sales agencies in your city.
- In the baggage compartment, if your fare rules regarding allowable weight and size of luggage apply. Oversized musical instruments are subject to additional charges.
- In hand luggage — if you are only carrying a musical instrument that meets the dimensions of 40*30*20 cm and does not exceed a weight of 10 kg. If the dimensions do not exceed 55*40*20 cm, you can use the "Additional carry-on luggage" service.
