Transportation rules
It is prohibited to transport small personal mobility devices powered by lithium batteries on board the aircraft in checked baggage and in passengers' carry-on items.
Small personal mobility devices include:
- unicycles;
- segways (mini-segways);
- hoverboards;
- gyroscopes;
- elecrtic scooters;
Air transportation of the specified devices on Smartavia flights is possible as checked baggage provided that the mobility device does not contain a lithium battery. A lithium battery removed from the mobility device is allowed for transport only in carry-on luggage, provided that the battery's capacity does not exceed the established limit of 160 watt-hours (W/h).
A small mobility device with a built-in (non-removable) lithium battery can be transported by declaring it as "dangerous cargo " through the airport cargo terminal.
